WHO IS MADRAD FITNESS?

Where it all started: My name is Dana (Rad)ivojevic - last name is too long - and I am a certified personal trainer based in Vancouver. 

I have been involved in strength and conditioning and high performance training from a young age as a tennis player, while also dabbling in many other sports while growing up. I fell in love with training, moving my body and pushing myself at the gym from a young age and it became a huge part of my life. 

I was known as the "fitness" and "gym" girl growing up. If I wasn't at school or at home, I was at the gym. Training was always something that was a priority in my life since I was 8 years old and it was never a chore - it was a privilege. Once I left tennis, I proceeded to coach the Junior Development tennis programs and the S&C side of things at UBC throughout my university degree up until I became a high school teacher. No matter what, fitness and training were always the best part of my day. I never thought I could make a life long passion into my job...as I was told by many - fast forward 5 years later, I ditched teaching in a traditional classroom and took the leap - shifting my teaching skills to a new environment.

Becoming a personal trainer was the best decision I made for myself. It was a passion project that turned into a fulfilling career.

As a PT, I work with anyone and everyone who is set on achieving a goal. From those that want to learn the basics of strength training and improve their lifts, individuals who are looking to get back in shape and fall in love with movement, athletes with sport specific training, or those that simply want to improve their overall quality of life - as long as you're ready to put in the work, I'm here for it. No matter who you are, what your goals are... you can train like an athlete and you can build towards that stronger tomorrow that I firmly stand by.

My mission is to help my clients discover the power of movement through strength training, mobility, cardiovascular fitness and to help them gain confidence in their overall abilities through functional movements. Movement is a privilege, so why not take advantage of it?
